There really isn’t a good excuse for not updating my blog, besides I was too busy making things happen. That said: check out Everyhere Logistics! I wrote a post a lot about why you should back us.
Thank you for being part of Competitive Winter Picnicking! Seeing people having that much fun out side in 30 degree temperatures is really something.
Sunday Jan 19, 2014 from 1-3 PM in Brooklyn, NY – register your team to bring a unique, memorable, delicious picnic to battle other teams (and the elements) to see who can have the “best” picnic!
Waiting For The Man – May 18, 2013 – Anticipation, Secrets, and Seeing If You Can Be The Most Fascinating Person In NYC.
Twenty teams of artists competed to see who could be so interesting that they would be photographed in one of the 10 instant photos of our unwitting photographer/judge.
Meeting of the Minds Aug 21, 2013 – an impromptu event and infiltration for people who are interested but not yet involved
People always ask me to bring them along on events. But, I hesitate to bring along people I haven't worked with before. So, I did a project where everyone was someone I hadn't worked with. SO. MUCH. FUN.
San Francisco LHNM write up gives good advice.
If you ever get asked to lead a marching band through the streets of New York to meet up with other bands at a marching band festival, I can say with first hand experience, you should do it: http://www.boweryboogie.com/2012/10/marching-with-honk-nyc-in-the-east-village-video/ I got an email that morning asking me to lead Minor Mishap from Austin through the East Village in a confluence of brass bands as part of Honk Fest. There is nothing like the feeling of being followed by a brass band through the city, playing your own soundtrack.
My pictures from the event.
